The wellbeing service is provided through GP surgeries in the community. It works with people in a person-centred way, aiming to empower and encourage them to connect with local agencies and organisations. The service focuses on building connections to ensure the best possible support for each individual referred.

These connections are seen to change lives daily. Through our collaboration we are able to help women and reach out to mothers and families. To date, we have helped over 58 women access help, counselling, and come to the wellbeing hub. Some women who had not left their houses for two years before finding out about Mothers Matter are now joining regularly and thriving. We are so grateful for this successful partnership and the impact we’re having in the local community.

It is acknowledged that speaking to someone unknown about personal feelings is not easy. The service understands the value of having someone there to help boost confidence and encourage people to go out.

Interlink wellbeing coordinators are so very valuable not only to us at Mothers Matter but to all those who refer to them, their strong ties with partners and organisations. These networks boost signposting efforts and refer people to the correct organisations. Many community groups and third-sector organisations rely on this service, and we value their contributions to our work.
